Meet Dr.
Sheila Kilbane
Dr. Kilbane grew up the youngest of five on the shores of Lake Erie in Ohio. From the first time she helped her father fillet the perch they caught, she knew she wanted to be a doctor.
“Medical school trained me very well to recognize the symptoms of pediatric illnesses and to treat those symptoms. I could easily manage eczema, ear infections, and constipation with daily medications, but the more frequently kids returned to my office unhealed after a prescription or procedure, the more frustrated everyone became, including me. After a fellowship in integrative medicine and two decades of pediatric practice, I developed a method that can prevent or even reverse the common childhood illnesses that keep kids out of school, off the playground, and in a series of doctor’s offices.”

What People Are Saying...
I have collaborated with Dr. Kilbane for over ten years on how to support kids with neurological conditions. Families who follow her recommendations for gut health and nutrition routinely achieve the best outcomes.
I have known Dr. Kilbane since she was a resident (almost 20 years). She is diligent, detailed and is doing a tremendous amount to bring more awareness about integrative medicine to parents and healthcare professionals in the Charlotte Pediatric Community. If your child is struggling with one of the common recurrent pediatric illnesses, I strongly suggest you take advantage of her book, her online course, or her private practice.
Dr. Kilbane has been a pioneer in the field of integrative pediatric health. She has been teaching parents and healthcare practitioners about the connection between food, inflammation and children’s health for almost 20 years. I have witnessed Dr. Kilbane’s outstanding clinical skills and professionalism both in direct patient care and in educating parents and healthcare practitioners. I have interviewed her several times for my podcast (docsmo.com) and have learned more from those interviews than from any other guest over the years. If you are interested in learning from a pediatrician who combines the best of conventional and integrative pediatrics, you are in the right place. I highly recommend you take advantage of her 7-Step Program through her book, online course or in-person practice.
Dr. Kilbane is a dear friend and a dedicated colleague for whom I have the utmost respect. She has done a great job of moving integrative medicine forward in our Charlotte community and beyond. I have seen firsthand how her 7-Step Program creates long-lasting results for children, especially with eczema. She created a new model in her private practice to help families who were doing everything conventional medicine had to offer but were still struggling. I couldn’t more highly recommend her and her many resources.
I listened to your talk on dairy that you gave to the Charlotte Pediatric Society. It has changed my practice!!!
In the ten years of working with Sheila in the pediatric community, I’ve seen her educate parents and other medical practitioners on the profound impact nutrition has on children’s health. One of my patients achieved significant improvements in his development, including speech articulation and eye contact, in addition to improved GI health as a result of working with her. I highly recommend Dr. Kilbane’s resources (book, online course, in-person visit) if your child has an issue or if you want to learn how to keep your child and family healthy.
