With summer in the rearview mirror, school back in session, and schedules and routines starting to normalize again, the fall season is a great time to hit the reset button on our health.
Maybe things got hectic over the summer with vacations and dynamic, inconsistent routines.
Maybe you had some days (or weeks or months) when your family’s health practices were less than ideal.
Maybe you weren’t able to cook at home as much as you would’ve liked.
Or maybe everyone stayed up later than normal because of those late-night swim meets.
Either way, all of these things accumulate over time and create inflammation in our bodies. But don’t worry, we can get back on track!
Even small efforts build momentum to reestablish those healthy habits… Progress always beats perfection.
You’ve seen my “cup of inflammation” graphic (it’s been a popular one lately). It’s a great visual for depicting how our bodies react to changes we face throughout the year.

I also love this graphic below from my book, Healthy Kids, Happy Moms.
It illustrates how “life happens” throughout the year and how that impacts each of the five main triggers of inflammation.

Now is a Great Time to Reset!
It’s important to go through the process of resetting or, as I like to say, “winterizing” our bodies (exactly like we do with our cars).
Excess inflammation leads to symptoms (eczema flare-ups, wheezing, diarrhea or constipation). When we take the steps to improve our diet, drink more water, and cut out the junk, we decrease that cup of inflammation as much as possible.
A fantastic way to do that is with my Free 7-Day Mini Cleanse. I highly recommend doing it as a family!

The mini-cleanse is an effective yet easy way to start making progress toward minimizing your body’s inflammatory response to the various triggers it may have faced recently.
After doing the Mini Cleanse, the first step in our HKHM foundational supplement strategy is to add in the HKHM Plantadophilus.
It’s a gentle, yet robust single strain probiotic that’s good for those even with sensitive stomachs.
Remember, even the smallest step toward reestablishing healthy, anti-inflammatory habits is better than nothing!
