Eczema Impacts Every Aspect of Life: A Success Story

When kids get the right cellular and digestive support, their systems make progress over time! For example, we had a young patient whose eczema was widespread and causing significant itching.

Their symptoms were impacting almost every aspect of their life and, therefore, every aspect of their entire family’s life. The parents had tried everything doctors recommended with no relief. The patient’s skin remained red, dry, inflamed, and itchy despite all their efforts.

Unfortunately, this is a common story for the eczema patients we see in our practice.

In cases like this, we start by addressing the three most overlooked aspects of eczema in order to begin treatment:

  • The gut microbiome
  • The skin microbiome
  • Inflammatory foods

We used our HKHM integrative approach and gradually eliminated inflammatory foods.

Simultaneously, we also strengthened digestion and rebuilt healthy cell walls through key supplementation such as the HKHM Omega-3’sPPC (“liquid gold”)HKHM Plantadophilus (probiotic), and HKHM Digestive Enzymes.

Fats (omega-3’s) and phospholipids (PPC) make up healthy cell walls and are key ingredients in our integrative eczema treatment. Research suggests we should take PPC for 750 days (or 2 years) to impact 50% of the cell wall.1

The probiotic (Plantadophilus) and enzymes prepare the gut to better break down and absorb the fats from these supplements.

Putting Out the Fire

We also addressed the excess staph bacteria on the skin and started focusing on supporting the beneficial bacteria in the gut.

For the DIY-ers out there, an easy at-home topical protocol is to apply the Briotech Topical Skin Spray to affected areas on the skin, let dry, and then apply the Organic Manuka Skin Cream (repeating up to 4 times daily as needed).

Lastly, for this patient’s particular case, we started to address their body’s histamine response (you can use an OTC or Rx antihistamine or our HKHM Hist-Assist) in order to decrease the itch and help calm the nervous system.

Within weeks, the patient’s body began improving.

Over the following months, the full thickness of their skin healed, their digestion normalized, and their overall health was optimized.

Eczema can feel like an endless battle, and every patient is different… but you’re not alone. When we use a combination of nutrition along with targeted supplements, we start to see gradual improvements over time.

This success story is another great example of how a personalized, integrative approach can finally bring patients the relief they’ve been seeking!
