Why Healthy Cell Walls Are the Secret to Vibrant Health

Our overall health depends on supporting the powerful symphony of our cells. Each cell has a specific function that supports different components of the body. But what determines the health of an individual cell? The answer lies in the health of the cell wall (or cell membrane).

The Importance of Having Healthy Cell Walls

The cell wall plays a vital role in our overall health. It determines how well nutrients are absorbed for energy production and how effectively waste is expelled. Even more impressively, the cell membrane acts as a communication hub, sending and receiving signals that keep neighboring cells in harmony.

A healthy cell wall is made up of essential fats, omega-3s, and phospholipids. Among these, phosphatidylcholine (PPC) is a standout. This unsung hero constitutes ~80% of the membrane surrounding every cell, from the outer membrane to the intricate structures within the cell, like the mitochondria.1, 2

Enhancing Mitochondrial Function and Cellular Health

Remember high school biology? If you do, you might recall the mitochondria—the “powerhouse” of the cell. Mitochondria play a crucial role in energy production, but they’re also incredibly vulnerable to stress and cellular damage. Since mitochondrial dysfunction is linked to nearly every disease known to man, supporting these structures is critical to overall health.3

Adding a PPC supplement to your daily routine replenishes and restores the structure of cell membranes, promoting a cascade of positive effects on vital systems including the liver, digestive tract, immune system, brain, lungs, and skin.

It’s no exaggeration when we call PPC “liquid gold” around our office. Think of it as an oil change for your cell walls!

PPC is available in two forms–capsules or liquid.

The Role of Omega-3s in Cellular Health

Just as critical to cell wall health are omega-3 fatty acids. Unfortunately, omega-3s are often lacking in the Standard American Diet, which is heavy in omega-6 and -9 fats. Signs of omega-3 deficiency in children can include:

  • Increased thirst
  • Dry hair and skin
  • Keratosis pilaris (small bumps on the arms, cheeks, or thighs)
  • Brittle nails
  • Behavioral issues like ADHD

Omega-3s are found in foods like salmon, sardines, and flaxseed, as detailed in the table from my book. If you or your children aren’t eating these regularly, I highly recommend incorporating an omega-3 (fish oil) supplement.

By combining HKHM Omega-3 with PPC, you can significantly enhance the function of your cellular systems, supporting the health of everything from your mitochondria to your skin.

Supplements for All Ages

Both PPC and HKHM Omega-3 are available in capsule or liquid forms, making them accessible and easy to use for all ages. On our website, you’ll find dosing instructions by age to help ensure proper supplementation.

Give your cells the support they need to perform their symphony of functions!
